ABOUT THE PrOVINCE

The region's economy is based on forestry, cattle farming, tourism, manufacturing, and services.

Valdivia is part of Northern Patagonia as its wild virgin forest embrace the Patagonian Cordillera following the river Calle Calle down to the Pacific Ocean.

The best time to visit this area is undoubtedly between December and March. The pleasant climate allows for plenty of sightseeing and open-air activities (don’t forget the insect repellent!) and it is the perfect time to enjoy the lakeside beaches and bustling summer nightlife.
